CHARLES D. FLYNN
Charlie Flynn is the CEO of Mid Atlantic Capital Associates, a boutique advisory and international relations firm.
Originally from London, his career in finance and technology has led him from the United Kingdom to the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Bermuda.
At Mid Atlantic, he has been involved in mergers, acquisitions and financings with a transaction volume in excess of $2.5 billion and has assisted private and small cap companies in raising in excess of $400 million in equity.
He began his career in technology designing and building personal computers in Canada in the mid-seventies to eventually become an authorized distributor for Microsoft and Apple. After successfully selling his company, Charlie joined Unisys in corporate development and mergers & acquisitions. After Unisys, he pursued his interest in finance to join a New York investment firm and moved to Boca Raton, Florida and then to Toronto, working with a number of broker-dealers in mergers, acquisitions and financings before launching Mid Atlantic in Bermuda.
Charlie divides his time between Vancouver, London and Los Angeles. He is the author of a number of books and is married with seven children.
Ian Nuttal is the Managing Director of Mid Atlantic Capital Associates, a boutique advisory and international relations firm.
Ian Nuttall has over 30 years of experience in the financial market sector. He is a financial investor of multiple private and public companies in addition to providing consultancy services to small and medium-large cap companies. He brings a wealth of experience in structuring projects, partnerships, and financing from early stage engagement through later stage growth opportunities. His specialties include funding and financing growth strategies, joint ventures, strategic alliances, mergers, acquisitions, and RTO’s. In the early 1990’s, Ian worked in the Capital Markets Industry for Austin Friars Securities, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Continental Capital Management (Jersey, Channel Islands).
His responsibilities included restructuring country debt, investing in Reg S offerings, and restructuring many public and private companies. Ian also owned and operated a Forfaiting House in the U.K. which provided international trade finance services with a particular focus on forfaiting business.
The main activities included discounting bills of exchange, promissory notes, letters of credit and purchase order financing and he worked very closely with the London Club and Paris Club. Ian has a wealth of experience in and a strong knowledge base of various global industry sectors: Fintech, Resources, Technology, Agri, Bio-Tech and Telecommunications.
